Milk Education are working in partnership with a large SEND school in Manchester to recruit a skilled Learning Support Assistant with experience of supporting children with Autism. Required for September 2022 and onwards, we are looking for Learning Support Assistants with an interest in working with pupils with Autism and associated disorders. All pupils have significant learning difficulties and complex needs. The range of abilities stretches from Engagement Level to lower National Curriculum levels. The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children, vulnerable adults or individuals with SEND in last 2 years Able to deal with challenging behaviour Strong awareness and application of safeguarding in a school environment Ability to assess and accommodate individual learning needs of student The requirements: An understanding of strategies required to form strong working relationships with young people Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults in the last 2 years Sensitive to the varying needs of young people and individuals Genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student Experience personal or professional working with SEND The Milk Difference: We are an environmentally-friendly education supply agency providing quality talent to local schools across the North East of England.
